David J. Weisberger is a member and partner at Neuwing Real Estate Ventures, LLC.
Mr. Weisberger was the founder and former Managing Member of Watch Hill Investment Partners LLC and Watch Hill Management Partners LLC, the investment management companies for the Watch Hill family of mortgage derivative hedge funds.
Launched in 1994, Watch Hill Fund, L.P. was the first of six mortgage derivative hedge funds and four privately managed accounts that the investment company operated through September 2006. The average net investment returns produced by these entities during this period was in excess of 20%, with assets under management exceeding one billion dollars annually. In 1997, Worth Magazine voted Watch Hill Fund, L.P. one of the Top 30 Hedge Funds in the World.
Prior to starting the original Watch Hill Fund, L.P. in 1994, Mr. Weisberger was a Managing Director at Prudential Securities Inc. in the Mortgage and Asset-backed Capital Division from 1987 to 1994. As a managing officer of the Financial Strategies Group, the firms’ fixed-income analytics and technology group, Mr. Weisberger was responsible for the development of Wall Street’s premiere mortgage analytics and research system named IMPACT. In addition, Mr. Weisberger served as the Mortgage and Asset-backed Capital Division’s Chief Operations Officer responsible for all business and transaction operations.
Prior to joining Prudential Securities, Inc., Mr. Weisberger worked at EF Hutton & Co., Inc. as a First Vice President of the Management Information Systems Department from 1979 to 1987.
Mr. Weisberger began his career as a Contracts Administrator while employed at RCA Corporation from 1976 to 1979. Mr. Weisberger holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from The American University, Washington, D.C. in 1975.
Mr. Weisberger currently serves on the Board of Directors of several private companies and charities. Mr. Weisberger, who lives in Larchmont, N.Y., is married and the father of three children.
